HOLLYWOOD – The Oscar race is on.

The Academy announced its list of Oscar nominees Feb. 13, and if you were looking for actors such as Cuba Gooding Jr., Denzel Washington, Danny Glover and Angela Basset, forget about it.
As expected, every Black actor and film on the initial voting list has been overlooked.
It would have been nice to see Remember the Titans, Men of Honor, Boesman and Lena, and Bamboozled at least mentioned.
However, there’s no sense preaching to the choir.
