The popular 1970s TV show, Starsky and Hutch goes to the big screens with a comedic twist. The delightfully funny action comedy co-stars Snoop Dogg as a smooth street informer named Huggy Bear, who links the good to the bad.

The movie takes place in a metropolis called Bay City, California. Starsky (Ben Stiller) plays a good cop who likes to stick to the rules and is paired up with Hutch (Owen Wilson), who doesn’t mind breaking the rules. At first, these two cops clash with their different approaches to solving crimes, but later find a way to mend their differences.

On their first day working as partners, they come across a dead body floating in the Bay City coastline. While Starsky is trying to record the incident, Hutch is trying to discard the body, taking the matter lightly. Finding a business card in the man’s wallet sends them to an unknown drug dealer, Reese Feldman (Vince Vaughn), who portrays a cunning businessman. During their search for information, the two meet Staci (Carmen Electra) and Holly, two of the Bay City Cheerleaders, who are more than willing to assist in anyway possible.

With clues from Hutch’s street savvy informant, Huggy Bear, the two go on an entertaining journey changing their appearances to crack the case. In Starsky’s red-hot Gran Torino, the two burn up the streets of Bay City using their good looks, street smarts and the help of Huggy Bear to solve the crime.

Snoop Dogg fits well into this character with his cool demeanor and his 70s polyester-pantsuit clad. The street-smart rapper plays his part well. If you’re looking for action and a good laugh, this movie will keep you rolling, giving you a glimpse back into the 70s TV show with the original Starsky and Hutch premiering in a cameo role.
